2 subperiosteal implants to treat patient with oroantral communication
This 74-year-old patient had terminal peri-implantitis in sectors 1 and 2. The implants were removed. The sinus grafting was infected. As a consequence of this infection, two oroantral communications developed, right and left, contraindicating any further intervention at the level of these sinuses (new sinus grafting).
Therefore, we proceeded with the placement of two subperiosteal implants with prosthetic abutments on teeth 15, 17, 25, and 27. These implants will be left in a healing phase for four months before receiving the final screw-retained bridges.
This patient was treated by Dr Antoine Diss and Dr Laurine Birault at Arenas Dentistes, Nice, France.
